Show #17 - Sirdar BC - Sirdar Pub
17/4/2010
A night of crazy rock and roll! We are always at our best when we play all night, especially in a great sounding room to a crowd that feels that energy like we do. The Sirdar Pub and it's amazing patrons gave us as much as we gave them, great vibes and unbelieveable fun! Girls and guys dancing up a storm, big smiles everywhere, truly words cannot describe the energy of the room that night.
We are thankful to you all for your kind hospitality and support, and we send our dirty love to you all!

Show #14 - Nelson BC - Royal On Baker
16/4/2010
Sean had once been to Nelson years ago, touring with Joey, and according to him, over the last 7 or 8 years it's gotten pretty touristy... I suppose that's what happens when everyone moves west to a pretty little mountain lake town. There was a miscommunication, and we ended up doing an early set (6-8pm) for a swing dancing class... you read correctly... it was an older crowd, but they loved us and our tunes anyways. I will NEVER forget seeing many elderly couples doing spins to Crash And Burn hahaha what a fun crowd! Dennis and I couldn't stop smiling the whole time!

Show #13 - Sirdar BC - Sirdar Pub
15/4/2010
I can't properly express the feelings we had pulling up to the Sirdar Pub, it truly is a bar on the highway across from the lake and the mountains.... absolutely stunning view right off the west facing porch out front, and truly some of the nicest people we've met on this tour. Rob and Brenda, Ian, and Bree are the tightest bar staff around, and Amanda, Susan, Melisa and Bree sure know how to party! North of Creston, if you've never been to Sirdar BC, you have no idea what you're missing.
Just... make sure you strap your helmet on TIGHT if you're gonna go riding in a local's car on those scary ass roads haha

Show #12 - Lethbridge Alberta - The Slice
10/4/2010
Wow, what a place! The Slice has the best pizza in Alberta, and one of the nicest stages the DLB's ever played on. We had a great time with the staff, the people in the crowd freaked out, and we met a coupla great guys from the local radio station and got to do an interview for 88.3 FM in Lethbridge's University the next day! Keep an eye on our page here cause soon we'll be posting the recorded interview for all of you to check out!

Show #11 - Canmore Alberta - Canmore Hotel
8.4.2010
To wake up in the mountains! We were so blown away by Canmore, the great people, the fantastic scenery and hospitality, everything! Our show at the legendary Canmore Hotel was great, 2 long sets of some of our best rock, and the crowd definately enjoyed it, dancing and rocking out with us. Thanks to the Hotel and our excellent sound engineer, the great peeps at the show (some of them Ontarian's like us!) and the wonderful town of Canmore for showing us some serious fun. We will be back as soon as possible.

Show #10 - Brandon Manitoba- Double Decker
5.4.2010
Our show in Brandon was fairly quiet, a great chance to recharge after a long week of gigs. The Double Decker Tavern is a beautiful room, newly renovated, with great staff and a really good vibe. We want to thank the folks at the Blue Jewel Inn, for letting us stay in their home and treat it like our own. A huge thanks to Rose, for her awesome laugh and her great company. Andrea, for eventually making an appearance and being aaweesome, Angie at the Chicken Chef Diner, Jill and Pam, Ashley and Kim at the Decker, and everyone else we met on our wee vacation in Brandon. We will see you all soon!

Show #9 - Winnipeg Manitoba- Shannon's
3.4.2010
After a long night in Kenora we ventured on to Winnipeg. Arriving early afternoon we called Moose and his friends we had met the night before in Kenora. Getting to Shawnas place we are greeted with amazing amounts of hospitality. Shawna made some, "Dirty Wings" and very, "Angry Pizza" which was utterly amazing. Unsuspectingly she presents lucas and I with Korn tickets. Turns out they are playing across the street from our venue. Giddy like school children Lucas and I have an old love affair with Korn and had never seen them live. Korn put on an amazing show. After it was all said and done we find ourselves at Shannon's setting up our gear and preparing to rock Winnipeg. Shannon's is an irish pub in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, with a fantastic staff and a decent stage. Traditional yet modern with a certain energy in the air that is undeniably positive. Aftter 2 sets of rock and roll, amazing dance party, guest appearance by Moose we call it a night. Going outside to get some air, I'm appraoched by what i assumed to be a local. He congratulated us on a great show and complimented us on our music. After a brief conversation he confesses that he is Korn's drum tech and that Munky and Ray Luzier were in the crowd watching are set. Soon after he says this there they are in the flesh. Munky one of my childhood heroes at my show. Unreal. Needless to say it was a magical night in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Show #8 - Kenora Ontario- Shooters
2.4.2010
One of those nights where we have really no idea what's goin' on, what we're in for... we pulled up to Kenora at dusk and found out it's the North American First Nations hockey tournament in Kenora and they expect it to be busy, RAILED is more like it. We played early, the crowd loved it, we met some incredible people (re: Winnipeg blog) and had an amazing time in Kenora. If you're ever passing through there, stop by Shooters and tell 'em we love 'em.

Show #7 - Thunder Bay Ontario- The Office
1.4.2010
I have played T Bay before, and had a great time for almost a week partying with some older cats and all kinds of friendly people. This venue was at a new bar, "The Office" and turned out to be a large blues club. The show
opened up with an open jam, then we rocked the place. We played an energy set and the crowd loved it. Thanks to our gracious hosts and the Office staff, the people who bought some discs, we totally appreciate the support. Will see you again soon.

Show #6 - Sault St Marie Ontario- Coch's Corner
30/31.3.2010
The Dirty Love Band got our first Soo Experience, and what a killer time! Coch's Corner is a nice sports bar in a Days Inn across from the arena, in a great little area of downtown (ish?) Playing a Tuesday/Wednesday, we didn't see as MANY people out as we'd like, but everyone who was there were great people. A huge thanks to Paul, JD, Tamara, Erin, Magic, and everyone else who partied with us the last couple days, and made us feel VERY welcome in the Soo. We're as I type driving through the bush on hwy 17, which is as I'm told, one of the most beautiful stretches of road in Canada, between Sault and Thunder Bay. We're looking for bears as we go, the Moose are nonexistent, fictional even... I've never seen one EVER, though there are HUNDREDS of moose crossing signs, a definite conspiracy. I think if our provincial government put moose crossing signs down the 400 series hwys we'd eliminate speeding all together in SW Ontario :) Still safe, still rockin', morale is very high today :)

Show #5 - Hearst Ontario- La Limite
26/27.3.2010
So the DLB rolled into Hearst to play a hockey tournament and recharge the batteries before embarking on their trek out west. We'd like to thank Denis, Marlene and Marc for their incredible hospitality as always! We'd also like to thank Johnathan Levesque and his girlfriend Karine for doing much needed maintenance on our van that we are incredibly gratefull for. The shows were also a great success, with the DLB playing an MNR provincal hockey tournament on Friday/Saturday to a packed house at La Limite. We'd also like to thank Marc, Lauren and Lynn for organizing the show and making it a memorable one. We can't wait to see you all again soon!

Show #3 - Peterborough Ontario- The Montreal House
19.3.2010
At one of P-Town's most famous
stages, we played a tight set with a great local
cover act called "Big Bang". The
staff were so friendly, and the locals were
spectacular. Seeing old friends is always a
pleasure. We would love to thank the wonderful
Tegan Moss and her better half for putting us
up. They were nothing more than hospitable.
Peterborough has a wonderful energy. A town that
is very influenced by the arts. We are excited
to return and share more love with you. Thanks
to big bang, Kipper, and the Montreal House for
everything. Till our paths cross again.

Show #2 - Guelph Ontario- Jimmy Jazz
18.3.2010
Guelph is a great city with
people who want to have a great time, the Ascot
Royals are a great band, and we definately
rocked a great local stage. How many great's
can I use to describe a great show? Well, it's
great that we can spend a great bit of time to
find out. Great shows like tonight are kinda
great when it's great to great great. I
personally always great the greatest things that
the Ascot Royals will great, with or without
great rock and roll, which is great, becuase
they're probably great all the time. Great for
sure! Like a giant G with a R and an E, our set
was an A that can only be described as a great T
that rocked. The only thing I could say wasn't
so great, was the complete lack of mom jokes and
an obvious disregard for quadratic equations.
Thanks to everyone who came out or stopped in, we always love playing to new people. To the Ascot Royals, we will see you soon.
Sean the Great xoxo
Show #1 - Oshawa Ontario- The Atria

punk rock bar on St. Patty's Day. What a show!!
We got there early (that's the second time
EVER) and got in and out of The Atria like the
SWAT Team. Lucas is quickly molding himself
into a rock n roll zombie like the rest of us
and when we come to your town, watch out! The
DLB is as tight as it has ever been and we're
only gettin' hotter as we go. Stay posted for
video blogs and regular updates!
